This year the Creative Horror team has decided to celebrate Halloween early and with a series of monthly challenges. From July to October, we’ll be competing in teams of two to see who are the masters of Halloween! And we’ll need you, our listeners, to help cast votes for the winning team each month. The team with the most wins be crowned true masters (at least within our crew) of the year’s best holiday! Here are all the details to you need to know.

JULY - COOKING CONTEST
Each team will need to create and devilishly delicious (but most importantly edible) Halloween themed dish! Each entry must have two complementing components and will be judged on presentation, idea, and effort made.
Think you’ve got better culinary skills than our teams? Or you just want to try it for yourself? Put together your own dish and email it to us and we’ll feature it alongside our with contestants. (Entries from listeners will not be included in the voting and are not required to have two components to their dish.)

AUGUST - COSTUME CONTEST
The Boolympics continue! Beginning in August through to October, our teams will be constructing their Halloween costumes! The rules are simple. Both members must pair their costumes together. No store-bought costumes are allowed but teams may purchase separate components of their costume. Teams will not be allowed to reuse past costumes but may take pieces of old costumes to construct a new one. You, the listeners, will decide the winning team through a vote on Twitter or Patron-only Discord!
But the CH crew won’t be the only ones competing! This contest will be open to everyone! While the rules above will only apply to the CH teams, everyone else is invited to put together a costume and enter!
Additional rules that apply to everyone. No nudity, tasteful or otherwise. No offensive or overtly sexual costumes.
All participants will need to submit photos of their costumes. The deadline is October 25th.
The CH crew will decide the winning costumes from the listener submissions.

SEPTEMBER - STORY CONTEST
The third challenge of the 2020’s Boolympics is here!
RULES
Write a story based on an episode from the provided list of Creepy Cooking Staff episodes.
Stories must utilize the final story concept and any key details decided from the episode chosen.
You may add to or embellish the original concept.
Word limit: 1,500
DEADLINE
October 30th. 11:59 PM PST
HOW TO SUBMIT
Email completed stories to midnightmarinara@gmail.com
The subject line must contain: “CCS Story Title - Author Name”
Stories may be submitted as a Word doc, pdf, pasted into the body of the email, or as a Google Doc link. (Please make sure any Google docs have permissions open for anyone to view.)
By submitting your story you are also granting Creative Horror and UCA permission to possibly use it in future episodes.
Three winners will be selected from the entries and awarded cash prizes via Paypal or Venmo.
1st - $50
2nd - $30
3rd - $20
Winning stories will be read and discussed in a future episode of UCA. The first-place story may also have the chance of being fully narrated in a video on the Creative Horror Youtube page.

OCTOBER - PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST
This year the CH crew will be carving their jack-o-lanterns on a livestream. Saturday, October 30th at 6 PM PST.
Help us grow the collection of listener-carved spooky lanterns in our Jack-o-lantern gallery by submitting photos of your own carvings! We may get the chance to react and admire them on stream!
How to Submit:
-No limit on how many jack-o-lanterns you can submit. But only one good photo of each masterpiece!
-Jack-o-lantern can be made with any vegetable or fruit!
-Jack-o-lantern must be hollowed out, have a distinct face carved, and fit a small light or candle inside.
-In the photo, next to your jack-o-lantern, please have a piece of paper with the carver’s name (optional: and the name for your creation).
-Email your photo to jessereyes@creativehorror.com
-All entries must be submitted by Saturday, October 30th!
